【Purpose】

To support overseas Chinese and international students in securing employment in Taiwan after graduation, NSYSU established the “Career and Employment Hub for International Students” in 2025. The hub aims to strengthen career consultation and employment assistance mechanisms. This session invited representatives from Talent Taiwan to present the current talent retention policies and related services, helping students gain practical information and better plan their career paths.

【Features and Implementation】

This event featured Bradley Orr from Talent Taiwan, who delivered a comprehensive English-language presentation on the center’s core missions and diverse services. Topics included job-seeking and residency, the points-based system, work permit applications, eligibility for the Employment Gold Card, permanent residency, Taiwan’s key industries, and online job search platforms. The session systematically guided international students through the full pathway to working in Taiwan and encouraged NSYSU doctoral students to apply for the Employment Gold Card upon graduation.

The event saw strong engagement, with participants actively raising specific questions based on their backgrounds and needs. Overall, the session effectively conveyed essential policy information and boosted students’ confidence in job hunting and planning to stay in Taiwan—achieving the dual goals of policy promotion and talent retention support.
