🌟 Purpose
In order to enhance the job competitiveness of international students and overseas Chinese students after graduation, we have invited Assistant Professor Heidi Chang from the Department of International Media and Entertainment Management at I-Shou University to share professional resume writing skills and practical advice. She will also provide individual guidance to help international students and overseas Chinese students understand the core principles of resume writing and learn how to effectively showcase their personal strengths, thereby improving their chances of success in job applications.
📉 Features and Implementation
This workshop was conducted entirely in English and specifically designed for international students, emphasizing practical guidance and interactive participation. An experienced Professor Chang delivered the session in English, covering common résumé formats in the Taiwanese job market, key writing techniques, and interview preparation strategies, helping students enhance the professionalism and practicality of their résumés.
The class adopted a coaching-based approach, with Professor Heidi Chang using a lively and humorous teaching style combined with interactive questioning to encourage student engagement and critical thinking. The atmosphere was relaxed yet enriching, as students not only learned how to structure and organize résumé content but were also guided to clarify their career goals and highlight their strengths.
After the workshop, students submitted their completed or revised résumés for the instructor’s review and received detailed feedback and suggestions for improvement. The overall structure of the workshop was systematic and highly practical, effectively supporting students in identifying key points for job applications and boosting their confidence and competitiveness in the job market.
