🎯 Purpose
The post-graduation employment rate of international students from the College of Management at NSYSU in Taiwan has reached 40%. In response to the establishment of the “Career Development and Employment Support Hub for International Students” in 2025, the College continues to strengthen its career consultation and employment support mechanisms.
In this session, outstanding international alumni are invited back to share their experiences. They will introduce the essential competencies required for international students seeking employment in Taiwan, key points in resume writing, and the transfer of practical job-seeking experiences. This aims to help international students better understand Taiwan’s industry landscape, enhance their employability, and successfully pursue their careers and fully develop their strengths.
📌 Highlights & Implementation
This event was jointly organized by the Office of Career Development, College of Management, and the Career & Employment Hub for International Students under the Office of International Affairs. It focused on the employment needs of international students in Taiwan and invited distinguished alumni currently working at internationally renowned companies to share their professional experiences, thereby strengthening alumni connections and facilitating knowledge exchange.
The event was opened by Dr. Sei Zhen Khong, Director of the Division of Student Exchange, Office of International Affairs, followed by sharing sessions from three distinguished international alumni: Vigor Lin (Titansoft), Grace Kuo (PicCollage), and Jan Stava (STMicroelectronics). The session adopted a “World Café” format, allowing participants to rotate among speakers and engage in interactive discussions across different industries. This approach enhanced cross-disciplinary exchange and participant engagement. Topics covered included internship and job opportunities, key competencies, and career development, offering both breadth and depth.
In terms of implementation, the alumni adopted diverse sharing styles, including real-time Q&A interactions, which further enhanced engagement and communication. Students actively participated by asking questions, fostering dynamic two-way discussions and making the sessions highly practical and responsive.
The event concluded with a networking session, where students continued to interact with alumni while enjoying refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere. These lively exchanges not only strengthened connections between alumni and students but also significantly enhanced international students’ understanding of and confidence in pursuing careers in Taiwan.
