🎯 Objective

Following the previous event, many students raised questions and expressed concerns regarding the cost of studying in Taiwan, including tuition fees, accommodation, daily living expenses, as well as academic and lifestyle aspects in STEM fields. Therefore, this event was organized to provide an in-depth platform for sharing real experiences.
Thai students currently pursuing STEM-related studies at universities in Taiwan were invited to share their firsthand experiences. The session covered academic life, daily living, and financial management, offering practical insights for prospective applicants.

📌 Highlights & Implementation

Based on feedback collected from participants in previous online sessions, NSYSU International Talent Circulation (INTACT Base) organized this session to address key concerns and provide more targeted information. We Invited two Thai STEM students currently studying in Taiwan to share their firsthand experiences of pursuing STEM education in Taiwan.
The event began at 2:00 PM (Taiwan time) with The first speaker, Anantaya Saetan, a current student from the Department of Fragrance and Cosmetic Science at Kaohsiung Medical University, shared her personal journey, including her decision to study in Taiwan, reasons for choosing Kaohsiung Medical University, and her academic experience.
She also introduced practical aspects of daily life in Taiwan, such as transportation convenience, as well as her transition from internship to a Master’s degree program. Additionally, she shared her experience studying in a Chinese-taught program, providing valuable insights for prospective students considering similar pathways. The session also included an interactive Q&A segment, where participants were able to raise questions and receive detailed responses from her.
The next session from Ananya Saeiew, a current student from the Department of Environmental Engineering at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU). She shared her experiences on preparing a strong Statement of Purpose (SOP), which helped her secure scholarships from two universities in Taiwan. She also discussed her academic transition between disciplines, offering insights for students considering a similar path.
In addition, she introduced the cost of living in Tainan, student activities among Thai students at NCKU, and provided an overview of the city to help participants better understand the local environment. Furthermore, she shared her academic experience studying engineering in Taiwan, giving participants a clearer perspective on both academic expectations and daily student life.
