Scholarships and Obligations
1. Subsidy Items and Maximum Amounts
- Administrative Fee Subsidy (One-Time)
- Includes health check, visa fee, and document verification fee
- New Southbound and other countries: up to NT$10,000
- Europe and the Americas: up to NT$25,000
(*Students already studying in Taiwan are not eligible)
- One-Way Airfare Subsidy to Taiwan (One-Time)
- Reimbursed based on the most direct economy class route
- New Southbound countries: up to NT$9,000
- Europe and the Americas: up to NT$35,000
(*Students already studying in Taiwan are not eligible)
- Tuition and Miscellaneous Fee Subsidy
- Duration: up to 2 years after registration and enrollment
- Maximum amount: NT$100,000 per year (up to NT$50,000 per semester)
- The 2nd semester of Year 2 subsidy requirements:
Language of Instruction Language Proficiency Requirement Other Conditions Chinese-taught Programs TOCFL Listening and Reading Level B1 or above Pass academic and performance evaluations by school and partnering company English-taught Programs TOCFL Listening and Reading at Level A2 or above Pass academic and performance evaluations by school and partnering company - For international students enrolled in 4-year undergraduate STEM, finance, or semiconductor-related programs, subsidy regulations will be determined based on individual cases.
- Schools must establish a clear mechanism to assess student performance and provide additional support for students who do not continue to receive subsidies.
2. Student Obligations When Receiving Subsidies
- Students receiving industry-academia scholarships are required to fulfill corresponding employment obligations in Taiwan based on the duration of the subsidy:
- 1 year of subsidy → 1 year of employment in Taiwan(12 months)
- 2 years of subsidy → 2 years of employment in Taiwan(24 months)
