1. Industry-Oriented, Joint Selection and Training of Students
The INTENSE Program is established to meet the talent demands of domestic industries. Schools and enterprises jointly sign industry-academia collaboration agreements and conduct student selection either overseas or among outstanding international students already studying in Taiwan. Customized curricula are co-designed by academia and industry, and courses may be co-taught by faculty and industry professionals, ensuring full participation of enterprises in recruitment, instruction, and internships—achieving the goal of jointly cultivating and retaining talent.
2. Joint Resource Support from Government and Industry to Enhance Incentives
To attract outstanding students from various countries to study and work in Taiwan, the program is funded by the National Development Fund, covering essential administrative costs, one-way airfare, and up to two years of tuition and fees. In addition, enterprises provide a monthly living allowance of at least NT$10,000 per student.
3. Integrated Employment Mechanism to Meet Industry Talent Needs
The program is designed as a two-year training model. During their studies, students receive scholarships from both the government and enterprises. After graduation, they are obligated to work in Taiwan for a certain period. Participating enterprises have the priority to employ these students, helping to rapidly address the shortage of mid- to high-level talent.
