Internship Insurance Application (Student-initiated Internship)

📌 How to Apply for Insurance

  1. Step 1: Fill out the online form
    Please visit Student Affairs Information Platform → "Student Functions" → "Off-campus Internship Insurance Application"
  2. Step 2: Print and Sign
    Print the application form → Sign it → Department office and department head seal → Submit to the campus office
  3. Special Note:
    Make sure to submit the application form at least 10 days before the internship starts to ensure the insurance validity.

📚 Definition of Internship

  • Profession-related: Internship content related to the department's training (e.g., Chinese Department/Magazine Editing, Life Science Department/Biotech and Pharmaceuticals, Electrical Engineering Department/Semiconductors, Finance Department/Banking, Marine Resources Department/Marine Museum, Political Economy Department/Policy Research)
  • Public Sector: E.g., museums, Environmental Protection Agency, Cultural Bureau, etc.
  • Non-profit organizations: NPO, NGO
  • Not included: Corporate visits

🎓 Application Eligibility

  • Only available to full-time students at this university, excluding exchange students, graduates, and in-service students
  • Graduating students who have not completed their exit procedures can still apply
  • Overseas internships are covered, except for some high-risk countries (e.g., Iran, Israel, Rakhine State in Myanmar, etc.)
    It is recommended to add commercial insurance for additional protection

🛡️ Insurance Coverage

Only accidents are covered; illnesses are not included. The group insurance is handled by Taiwan Bank on behalf of the Ministry of Education:

B Accidental Disability Compensation based on disability level, NT$ 100,000 ~ NT$ 2,000,000
C Actual Medical Expenses (limited to outpatient and emergency care) Maximum compensation NT$ 50,000
D Hospitalization Daily Allowance NT$ 1,000 per day
  • Combination of C + D gives a maximum compensation of NT$ 50,000.

Generally, each person is covered for a period of 3 months. If an extension is needed, the campus office will handle it.
