🚇 Kaohsiung MRT
- Ticket Purchase: Ticket vending machines and service counters are available at each station for single-journey or day passes.
- Entering/Exiting Gates: Tap your card to enter. For single-journey tickets, insert it at the gate when exiting.
- Riding Rules: Smoking, eating, and chewing gum are prohibited. Please keep the carriage clean and quiet.
- Route Info: The MRT currently includes the Red and Orange lines, which connect to major landmarks and stations.
🚈 Kaohsiung Light Rail
- How to Ride: Tap your e-ticket card on the platform both when entering and exiting.
- Ticket Usage: iPASS, EasyCard, and other e-tickets are accepted; fares are the same as MRT.
- Route Highlights: The circular route connects MRT stations, Pier-2 Art Center, Dream Mall, and other hot spots.
- Reminders: The light rail runs at street level, so please mind traffic and follow station instructions when boarding or alighting.
🚌 Bus Riding Tips
- Please use e-tickets (e.g., EasyCard, iPASS, iCash). You can pay NT$12 in cash, but no change is given.
- Most bus stops in Kaohsiung have smart signs or dynamic displays, and you can check schedules via apps or QR codes.
- Bus stops display route info, departure times, and contact numbers—you can call to check for the last bus.
- Remember to wave at the bus to signal it to stop.
- Before boarding, check the bus number and destination—major stops are marked on the bus exterior.
- Boarding: Tap your card when getting on and off. You don’t need to check the "Pay on Boarding/Alighting" light.
- Facilities: Coin boxes are near the front door; card readers are near both front and back doors. Prepare in advance.
- Announcement System: Stops are shown via LED signs and announced in multiple languages.
- Alighting: Press the stop button before your stop and take all belongings with you.
- Etiquette: Yield priority seats. Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited on the bus.

- Kaohsiung uses "YouBike 2.0", available 24/7 for rental.
- Use iPASS, EasyCard, or the official YouBike App (linked to your credit card) to scan and unlock.
- Stations are located near MRT stations, universities, business areas, and parks for easy access.
- After use, return the bike by pushing it into the dock and confirming with a card tap or via the app.
- The first 30 minutes are charged at a lower rate. Billing is based on time; promotions vary by official announcements.
- Check real-time bike and dock availability via the app or Transportation Bureau website.
